Every day more than two million photographs are taken around the world. These photos are not just snaps of birthdays and holidays, but pictures of goals being scored, models in studios and important news events. No matter how complicated the camera, all photographs are made in much the same way as when the process was invented more than 150 years ago. A camera is basically a box with a hole in it. Light enters through this hole and shines onto the light-sensitive paper to form a picture. In early photographs, it took a long time for the picture to form.

People had to stay still for up to 20 minutes to stop the picture from blurring. However newspaper photographers have to be ready for action all the time. They may not get a second chance to snap an amazing event or famous person. In doing a photo shoot, the wind, rain, and poor light can ruin the shots when taking a pictures outside. This is why photographers work in studios. Since these days because of high technology anyone can take their pictures by using their built in camera on their mobile phone in an easy way.
